Baccalaureate Address

Mr. Kennan, who delivered this principal address at the Commencement exercises in the Bema, Sunday morning, June n, is Counselor of the Department of State. In conferring the honorary Doctorate of Laws upon Mr. Kennan just before the address, President Dickey characterized him "as perhaps the preeminent representative of the finest group of career diplomats America has ever had at her service.
