A large and excellent photograph of the late Walbridge A. Field, class of 1855, who was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Massachusetts from 1890 to 1899, has been presented to the College by John A. Aiken, class of 1874, now Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Massachusetts. In accordance with the design of the donor, this photograph will be added to the collection, of portraits of eminent jurists who have been graduated from the College, which now adorn the lecture room used by the department of Law and Political Science in Tuck Building.
At the recent meeting of the American Bar Association in Montreal, Professor James F. Colby, who long had served on its standing committee on Uniform State Laws, was elected a member of its Local Council for the State of New Hampshire.
In connection with the award of the Pugsley prize of $100 for the best essay on International Arbitration by the Lake Mohonk Conference for 1913, it was announced that Arno Behnke, Dartmouth College 1916, and B. A. Ruggles, University of Pennsylvania, were tied for the third place.
