MERGER OF PROM AND CARNIVAL

If the vote of the faculty passed on the recommendation of the Council on Student Organizations is to remain in force, the picturesque and extravagant Junior Prom after next year will undergo a decided change.

The motion passed was: "Voted, that beginning with the year 1915-1916 the activities of Junior Week and Winter Carnival be merged and held about two' weeks after the opening of the second semester."

The measure roused a storm of protest among undergraduates and even Palaeopitus, the student council, felt called upon to object.
