Dr. Joseph Taylor dropped dead at his home in Manchester, N. H., March 10. Apoplexy was assigned as the cause of his sudden death.
He was born in Dublin, N. H., August 11, 1860, his parents being Joseph and Hannah (Coy) Taylor. His early education was obtained in the public schools of Cambridgeport, Vt., and he attended medical schools in Philadephia and Baltimore before coming to Dartmouth.
After practicing a few years from 1894 in Acworth, N. H., he removed to Bedford, N. H., January 1, 1898, and then to Manchester in November, 1900.
Dr. Taylor was a 32d degree Mason, an Odd Fellow, and a member of other orders.
He was first married in 1892 to Rose, .daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Steinhouer of Patria, N. Y., who died August 9, 1897, leaving a daughter. A second marriage, June 1, 1898, was to Mrs. Flora E. Rowe, daughter of Isaiah S. and Martha A. (Ladd) Lang, who survives him, with a daughter.
