Philip M. Chase, travel adviser, Little Building, Boston, announces, under recent date, that he has the answer to your travel problems, and that it will be a pleasure for him to consult with you at your home, concerning the trip you may be contemplating. The Naught Nine trip to the Cornell game must have kept Phil pleased for a month or two.
During the summer a man named Pettengill conceived the idea that there were enough Naught Nine men who knew how to play golf, or thought they did, to have a golf match every Wednesday. The first match was held at Winchester Country Club, and said Pettengill, Bob Burns and Phil Avery, Harry Floyd and Joe Worthen were present and carried clubs. Subsequently, matches were regularly held and matches were played at Oakleigh, Belmont, Wellesley, Charles River, Essex County, Meadow Brook, Winchester, and Salem. The group playing has averaged between four and eight men. The consistent pleyers were:— Pettengill, Burns, Avery, Farley, Leighton, and Floyd. Freddie Carroll, Jasper Mason, Joe Worthen, and Bob Holmes were able to get out occasionally.
Deborah Thayer Hazelton arrived in Hanover August 14, during her father's absence in Europe as the conductor of a student tour.
