After a most successful season the Dartmouth Cross-Country team finished disappointingly in seventh place in the intercollegiate race run over the new six mile course in Van Courtland Park, New York, Nov. 26. Syracuse won first place in the meet with the low score of 58. Following the Syracuse team were the teams of Columbia, Harvard, Maine, Princeton, and Pennsylvania State College, in the order named. The Dartmouth score was 224. In previous meets the Dartmouth runners had defeated Columbia, Harvard!, and Maine. Booth, of Johns Hopkins, was the individual star of the meet, finishing in first place in 32 minutes and 10 seconds.
In the freshman race the Dartmouth team finished in fifth place, being headed by Pennsylvania State College, Yale, Pittsburgh, and Cornell. The score of the winning team was 40; Dartmouth's score 129.
