Dr. Frederick Fletcher died of the infirmities of age at his home in Bradford, Vt„ April 15, 1924.
The son of Samuel and Harriet (Palmer) Fletcher, he was born in Thetford, Vt., January 17, 1844, and received his preliminary education at Thetford Academy.
He studied for his profession with Dr. E. C. Worcester (D.M.S. 1838) of Thetford, and attended lectures at Dartmouth and Harvard. After receiving his medical degree in the fall of 1870 he established himself in practice at Strafford, Vt., whence he removed to Bradford in 1882. He continued in active and successful practice until 1921, when his health began to fail.
He was medical examiner for seven insurance companies, actively connected with the White Mountain and White River Valley Medical Societies, and a member of Masonic lodge council, and chapter, being presiding officer of the last for over twenty years. He was a member of the pension examining board and health officer for Bradford for many years.
April 14, 187S, Dr. Fletcher was married to Ella, daughter of George S. and Adeline (Hazelton) Kent of Strafford, who survives him. They had no children.
