March 1925

On February 3, the Wednesday before Carnival, the Green five suffered its first defeat when the Mass. Aggies quintet revealed unexpected strength and went home with a one point lead. Coach Wachter's men showed the effects of the two weeks layoff necessitated by exams and were weak in both shooting and passing. The Bay State outfit, on the other hand, had a highly developed defense,. and, in Temple, an offensive star of the first order. Dartmouth had a nine point lead at half time but the advantage see-sawed back and forth during the second half and was in the Aggies' favor when the whistle blew. The defeat did not affect the Green's standing in the Inter-Collegiate Basketball League of which M. A. C. is not a member.
