Class of 1891

It appears by the recount that Mary Livermore Barrows, wife of Malcolm D. Barrows, has been elected as the first woman to become a member of the Melrose board of aldermen.

A service in memory of Irving A, Hazen, former principal, was held in the Richmond Hill High School on November 17. The poem printed in the obituary column in the December ALUMNI MAGAZINE on Mr. Hazen was written by Rachel L. Dithridge of the elocution department of the high school.
