WACHTER COACH OF BASKETBALL RESIGNS

From the office of the Supervisor of Athletics comes information that Lew Wachter, coach of the basketball team for the past four years, has resigned his position and will not be available to coach next year. No reason is given for his resignation nor is any information available as to his possible successor.

During Wachter's four years at Dartmouth the team has won its only League championship and every year his teams have been real factors in the League race. He has taught a style of basketball that is interesting to watch and fun to play. He has been, above all, a fine leader and a clean and gentlemanly sportsman. We shall be sorry not to see him here next winter when the season starts.
