With a brilliant past that is as secure as is its oak body and high pitched perch, this relic of by-gone days has come to rest in the old library building that has been remodeled into a museum. It nearly ended its days some years ago when some undergraduates hauled it out of the barn on South Park Street on the occasion of a victory over Harvard and escorted it part way to a campus bonfire, but wiser counsel prevailed and it was returned to its quarters.
