Francis Joseph Collins, 47, universally known as "Joe," sports editor of the Springfield Daily News and the Springfield Republican, died of pneumonia at his home in Springfield, Mass., after an illness of a couple of days. The suddenness of his death stunned his family and his associates, for there had been no indication of the seriousness of his illness. The Secretary of the class was one of the bearers. In another column of this edition will appear the full notice of Joe's death.
A letter from Owen L. Burdett, 116 Park Lane South, Kew Gardens, L. 1., states that his daughter Marjory is a sophomore at Mt. Holyoke College. Owen is associated with the New York Telephone Company as engineer of outside plant construction.
Freddie Root of San Francisco writes that he seriously contemplates returning to the reunion, and that Whittemore, who is manager of the International Banking Corporation in San Francisco, also plans to be present.
The third bulletin has gone out to the class with regard to the class report and information with regard to the reunion, and the Secretary takes this opportunity to impress upon the classmates the importance of answering these bulletins promptly.
