The value of this section of the magazine would be greatly enhanced if all members of the alumni body and facultywould send in to Harold G. Rugg, literary editor, announcements of all their publications. It is especially desirable toreceive announcements of pamphlets and magazine articles/If copies of these are sent to the literary editor they willbe placed in the special College Library collection.
Henry Bailey Stevens '12 is the author of an article "Were the Nations Insane?" in the April 1929 issue of World Unity.
A. G. Hovey '23 is the author with R. H. Kienle, of an an article entitled "The Reaction of Glycerol and Phthalic Anhydride" published in the February 1929 number of the Journal of the American Chemical Society. This is the first of a series of articles on the reaction of Polyhydric alcohols with polybasic acids.
Reverend Howard J. Chidley '06 is the author of "New Story Talks to Boys and Girls" published by Doubleday Doran. This is the second volume of such talks to be issued by Mr. Chidley.

"Stepping High," a novel by Gene Markey '18, has been published by Doubleday Doran.
"Our Revolutionary Forefathers, the letters of Francois, Marquis de Barbe-Marbois 1779-1785" with an introduction by Eugene Parker Chase '16, associate professor of Government in Lafayette College, has been published by Duffield and Company. These letters were also translated and edited by Professor Chase. The marquis was secretary to the French Minister to the United States during the Revolution and travelled throughout the eastern part of the United States with General Washington and so came to know many of the famous men of his time. These letters to his fiancee have until the present time been hidden among the archives of his descendants.
According to a recent editorial in the Boston Herald the report of the town officers of Winchester, Massachusetts, for 1928 is one of the "best sellers" in Winchester. The report of the selectmen of Winchester in this volume is from the hand of Joseph Worthen '09 and it is this report which has made the volume of such interest.
Professor Leonard D. White '14, of the University of Chicago, is the author of "Morale and Prestige Values in Municipal Employment" published in the April 1929 issue of the International Journal of Ethics.
'Wild Life Conservation and Forest Zoology," an article by Professor Alvin G. Whitney '07, formerly of the University of Michigan, appeared in the July 21, 1928, issue of the Michigan Alumnus.
District of Columbia Society of the Sons of the American Revolution has published the report of its historian, Walter Brown Patterson '83, as a pamphlet of twenty-one pages.
