CLASS of 1879
Mrs. Celia Maria Putnam, widow of George W. Putnam, died July 30 in Lowell, Mass., and was buried in Amherst, N. H., where she and her husband had lived for many years. A classmate of Putnam's some years ago wrote: "Mrs. Putnam is a woman of fine character and a most fitting companion to such a man."
