Enrollment Figures
DECEMBER 1931

Interesting figures answering the question so frequently asked of late as to whether many undergraduates were unable to return to College this year because of lack of funds were given recently in the weekly "Bulletin" sent out from Hanover to a mailing list which includes class secretaries, class agents and others actively participating in activities in behalf of the College. Enrollment statistics in September showed that the per cent of the three upper classes returning to College this fall was 92.7, a figure larger than usual. The figures for the last six years are as follows:

1931-32 92.7

1930-31 91.8

1929-30 92.3

1928-29 90.5

1927-28 90.3

1926-27 91.5

"A further fact that is of interest," the Bulletin says, "has to do with the percentage of the class of 1932 that will probably graduate in June. Taking into account all of the men that have been registered with the class of .1932 since matriculation in the fall of 1928, it is estimated that 81.6% will receive degrees in June. This figure has been running in the neighborhood of 79% during the last few years, and one does not have to go far back to find classes that graduated less than 70% of their members."
