At the time of graduation there were 475 men in our class. Of these, the following 36 were excused from paying the class tax: 15 tax collectors, 4 class officers, 7 other class speakers, etc., executive committee (7), and the auditing committee (3).

This left a balance of 439 men; of these 365 or 83% paid the tax.
