Rev. Francis P. Thayer had a letter in a July issue of the Boston Herald on the advantage of classical study. Latin was specially mentioned.
F. H. Hardison had a column and over in the Herald in June, giving the argument for compulsatory automobile insurance as set forth in the present Massachusetts law. His statement included the disadvantages of optional insurance.
Mrs. Submit Dewart of Baltimore, only surviving child of William C. Clarke of Manchester, N. H., recently deceased, sailed the soth of July for a year's residence in Europe. She has a son living in the neighborhood of Paris, another traveling in Europe, and a third preparing to enter Harvard.
