Ingie Fearing lost his father in February. Mr. Fearing Senior had not been in good health for some years, but his decease came suddenly and unexpectedly. Ingie will probably move from Andover back to Newton, to be near his mother.

The Reverend Philip M. Rose is superintendent and pastor of the Village Street Mission of Hartford, Conn. Mission services are held Sunday afternoons with the Sunday school session at two, the church and choir services at four, divided into English and Italian sections, after which Phil usually talks to some young people's group and follows it up with a Sunday evening eight o'clock service. Weekdays are divided into the usual number of mission activities that have to do with sociological and religious aid. Phil and his family spent the summer at Caspian Lake, Greensboro, Vtr, where he preaches, plays golf, and takes trips through the woods and mountains. He and Wilbur Bull put on a golf match last summer, but we haven't been able to find out who won. Doubtless this was for the class ecclesiastical championship.
Speaking of vacations, evidently everybody in the class is on a vacation from letter-writing. We have had absolutely no information from anyone in the class for so long that we wouldn't know what to do with it if we got it. I am beginning to agree with Sandy's estimate of myself as a class secretary, but I wouldn't admit it because it would give him too much encouragement. I have spent several idle moments trying to think of some way I could insult or annoy some other classmate sufficiently to get him to write, but most all of those I can think of are beyond insult, and the rest weigh more than I do anyhow. Unfortunately I have mislaid the list of those who agreed at our last class meeting to write me at least once a month. If I ever locate it they will get insulted, from Reggie Bankart down.
