During the past month a short meeting was held at the invitation of President Harold Jackson '10 to plan the appropriate manoeuvers for a New Jersey fall season; the dopesters being Clarke Tobin '10, Karl Koeniger '17, Josh Davis '27, Gus Wiedenmayer '29, and the secretary. Since we are again blessed with a trip to the Princeton Jungle it summoned no great thought to decide that we should use the date of this game for our Fall Event. As usual, smokers on the night before the game will be held in New York and several suburban communities more complete information on these to arrive next month in this section. We have seized the night of the game as our opportunity for a good dinner and dance. At this moment several country clubs are being propositioned, and the exact locality will be divulged next month. Here are the facts to spot right now: This dinner and dance will be convenient to Princeton and to your home, the food will be tasty and plentiful, the music will be excellent, and the cost will be less than you are thinking right now. This is a plan to allow you a suitable part in the exit of the football season. If you have any Princeton or Norwich friends bring them along, for we will be exclusive, but not seclusive. Just a hint to those seeking supreme comfortcollect your crowd and travel by bus from the country club in the morning, and return there after the game for the dinner, dance, and your car.
The Newark luncheon group pushed off on October nth with the first gathering at the Newark Athletic Club. Josh Davis gave a pre-view of the season based on his observations at the Norwich game. Remember that every third Thursday of the month finds Dartmouth hauling into the Newark A. C. at noon for these lunches.
