RAVINE CAMP GONE NOVICE
November 1934

"Nursery Ski Slope" 8 acres o£ it is the name that replaces "Hell's Highway" as the headline attraction for the winter season just getting under way at the Alumni Outing Club's Moosilauke domain. Beginners and Intermediates on skis are going to have their innings this winter on this nursery slope, on the new Novice Trail into upper Jobildunk Ravine, on the new East Peak Loop Trail, on the new easy Entrance Trail and at the Ski School! If the 9 inches of snow that carpeted the trails the week-end of October 13-14 is any evidence, snow conditions should be prime for the Ski School sessions that open Dec. 27th at Moosilauke. The School will divide into two five-day sessions, the first Dec. 27th-31st inclusive, and the second Jan. 2nd-6th inclusive. The price for each fiveday session will be $20.00; covering tuition, side trips, meals, lodging everything. The instruction will be by experienced men supervised by Dartmouth's coach, Otto Schniebs and the Alumni Outing Club is undoubtedly offering the season's best and most economical way to learn to ski or to improve technique. Reservations are limited to 20 Dartmouth people and their guests both ladies and men. Reservations should be addressed to Ford K. Sayre, Hutmanager, the Ravine Camp, Warren, N. H., and should be accompanied by $1.00 deposit for each person. By using the new C. C. C. road from the iron bridge it is possible to drive to a point within easy skiing distance of the D. A. O. C. camp.
