The Secretary is keenly disappointed. The reason is valid. Several of our men, as recorded in a previous issue of the MAGAZINE, have retired from active business, and we doubt not others have found their business retired from them, so that there seemed to be no good reason why the Secretary should not hear from them frequently and thus be able to fill the space allotted to '88 with interesting news. Please do not call it gossip. The news has failed to arrive, but we are still hopeful that it will come with the next mail the Postmaster General sees fit to deliver. Please note that all class notes sent in must be collated (I think that is the word) and ready to leave Belmont, Mass., on the 8th of the month preceding publication. The following have been heard from:
English.—Lee writes that he is still confined, not by law, we hope, and that his address for the present will be as in the last issue 4257 Arista St., San Diego, Calif. We are all anxious to hear of his speedy recovery.
Gove— Frank writes on February 11, on the letterhead of a beautiful, if the picture is not misleading, hotel in Pasadena, Calif., that he is there with Mrs. Gove, who is far from well. At the date of writing he expected soon to go with her to Palm Springs, the Desert Sun. Let's hope he meets sunshine and health in abundance. While there we expect he will be able to verify the tales of the Desert as told on the radio by the Old Ranger. The class of '88 sends regards and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Gove.
Gregory.—Warren writes Mrs. Cate, letter received this morning, that he has completed eight weeks in the Deaconess Hospital (Boston), and expects to be there four or five weeks longer. He is able to report considerable improvement, doubtless due to his granite constitution gathered during his four years at Hanover.
Doc Lougee— Reports all's well on the Maiden front except his patients. He suggests that we hold our next reunion in California, as the majority of the class will be living there by 1938. That sounds good to the Secretary, in view of the weather we have had hereabouts for the last two months.
Secretary, 11 Oak St., Belmont, Mass.
