The Fifth is under way! Yes, sir. And quelle Fifth it is going to be. Grapevine reports have it that Thirty- one will shatter all existing records for attendance. And that's not a gag. If you wanl to be closely posted on reunion plans, the best thing to do is make sure you will get a copy of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE regularly this year. New low rates—reunion dope— and, we hope, some colorful data about Thirty-oners. This is really our Big Year, and a big percentage of subscribers to the MAGAZINE is the most important way to get that record turn-out in Hanover next June—well, important anyway.

Rex Fall met Miss Jessie Shanks of Harrison, N. Y., through Jack O'Connor, and on June 22 they were married. The address now is 188 East St., Pittsfield, Mass. Rex is helping to run the newspaper up there, but hopes to get in to New York permanently. Congratulations. A mighty fine thing you're doing, I think. (Tell you why later.)

And on the very same day (June 22) out in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Mrs. Lawrence E. Nash announced the marriage of her daughter Susan to Mr. William Alfred Geiger. Gee, Bill—surprise! Or maybe we just stay in the dark back here in the East. We sure hope that Weyerhauser, Weyer- hauser, and Weyerhauser see fit to land you both in New York before long.

And in New York only a week later (June 39) Walt Hausman became the husband of Miss Remo Esther Poulsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian L. Poulsen of New York. Felicitations, and lots of good luck. The Hausmans are now living at 333 East 43d St., in Tudor Manor. N. Y. C.

Johnny Martin and wife are hereabouts for the week-end, staying at the Barbizon Plaza. John is best man at a wedding in New York, but strangely enough, it's not a Dartmouth man's wedding. It almost seems strange to hear of others getting married—but I suppose they do.

The Northern California Association reports that Durf Day "got married andskipped town, all tuhen we were on vacation. He is reported in Milwaukee." How's about letting us in on it, Durf?

Frank McCord promises some astounding items in his schedule for a reunion party at his Woodstock farm next Junetune in here for later developments.

Joe Barrington is seen frequently on the sands of the Larchmont Shore Club in Larchmont, N. Y. He's with the North American Dye Works in Mt. Vernon, N. Y.

From excellent authority I have it that even though Joe McCarthy plans to remake the Yankee infield next year, he's thinking mostly about second base and shortstop; there'll be no shift at Lou Gehrig's post, or third base, where our Red Rolfe has done himself proud.

They tell me Bob Oelman is married or on the verge of it; right, Bob? Sammie Groves is living out in Forest Hills, Long Island now. (70-10 Continental Ave.)

Dana Howe is in Windsor State Forest Camp 2156, West Cummington, Mass.

Gray Magee has been promoted to traffic supervisor for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. at 1010 Pine St., St. Louis Mo.

On June 29 Wes Brockway and Miss Dorothy M. Macallister of Southbridge, Mass., were married. They proceeded to Canada on their wedding trip; spent the summer at Washington, N. H.; and are now living in Hartford, Conn., where Wes is an instructor in mathematics at North- west Junior High School.

Some other new addresses: Schnitz Schneider, 360 Yale Ave., New Haven, Conn. Ned Pitkin, Lake George Club, Diamond Point, N. Y. (Maybe just for the summer.) Eddie Stokes was married on April 6 to Miss Olive Jones in Beverly, Mass. Now they live at 16 Hammond Road, Belmont, Mass.

And my dear roomie, Jack Weatherley, is about to take nuptial vows with Miss Harriet Gregory of Winchester, Mass. As a matter of fact, it's scheduled for September 12. After the wedding trip they'll be living at 405 East 54th St., N. Y. C. Having been pretty close to them both for many years, I can tell you they're going to be a mighty swell couple. All the luck in the world to them.

And while we're on the subject of luck, your sec. thinks he's just about the lucki- est guy that ever lived. On September 7, he's going out to Youngstown, Ohio, to marry Miss Mary Jane Owsley (sister of Dick Owsley '29 and Chuck Owsley '32). After October 1, we'll be at home at 433 East 51st St., N. Y. C. And that being "at home" means to you.

Secretary, 433 East 51st St., New York, N. Y.
