Edward Tuck '62, has just presented Baker Memorial Library with a volume of particular interest, entitled Anthony Taylor of Hampton, N. H. and His Descendants, 1635-1935. While essentially an account of the Anthony Taylor Family and connections, the work abounds in American history, far and near, including many New Hampshire records and unusual references to Dartmouth College, "the Mission School at Hanover for the education of the heathen."

Among Dartmouth men who come in for more or less extended mention are: Dr. Samuel Wood 1779, clergyman and teacher, Boscawen, N. H.; Daniel Webster 1801" Samuel Sargent Taylor '59, early supt. of schools, Minneapolis, Minn.; James Taylor Jackson, also '59, clergyman in Cornish, N. H. and originator of the Old People'sVisit, precursor by twenty years of New Hampshire's famous Old Home Week; Edward Tuck '62; and much later, Robert Alfred Burlen '16, pioneer radio artist; and Clarence Scott Taylor '26, high school principal, Providence, R. I.

The work is the result of ten years' continuous effort by Harold Murdock Taylor of Cranston, R. 1., disabled World War Veteran and Brown University graduate, who is also the publisher.
