Three losses were the lot of the Dartmouth gym team during the past month, the Indian gymnasts falling before Temple, 44 to 10, Army, 46 to 8, and Princeton, 36 to 18. In the Temple meet, held in Hanover, the Owls swept all six first places, with Chet Phillips winning the horizontal bar, the parallel bars, and the tumbling. In Dartmouth's best performances, Paul Hessler took second in the rings, Dick Morton second in the tumbling, Captain Herm Dock third in the horizontal bar and a tie for third in the rope-climb, Dave Herrmann third in the sidehorse, and Frank Moister third in the tumbling, and Al Beetle a tie for third in the rope-climb.
Dock and Moister were the only scorers for the Green in the Army meet, the Dartmouth captain winning the rope-climb and Moister taking second in the tumbling. The Cadets swept the horizontal bar, the parallel bars, the sidehorse, and the flying rings.
