Botany Prize

A gift of $l,OOO has been received by the College from Robert F. Charles '23 of South Acton, Mass., for the endowment of the Florence Fletcher Charles Memorial Prize to be awarded annually in accordance with the following provisions:

"The award shall be based upon the excellence and outstanding achievement of any undergraduate in botany, the recipient to be chosen by the full professors in the Department of Biology, teaching Botany. If, in the opinion of a majority of the faculty members, no student is worthy of receiving such prize in any given year, then the award shall be omitted until the next succeeding year, and awarded then as an additional prize."

The first award will be made for the academic year 1936-37.
