By Sydney A. Clark 'l2. Robert M. Mcßride, 1936-

Sydney A. Clark's book, Sweden on FiftyDollars, was a delightful surprise to me. I strongly recommend it to anybody who is planning a trip to that old country. It is infull of good sound advice and is charmingly written. Being Swedish myself, I naturally was especially interested in reading this book, and I felt more than satisfied as I finished thjs neat little volume of about two hundred pages crammed with valuable historical and personal information; in fact I think that Mr. Clark has "done" Sweden in a better way than a Swede could do it himself.

There were a few misspellings of some Swedish words, but that is the only criticism, I have. But I do wonder why Mr. Clark does not have those charming little travel books finished each in the national colours of the countries they refer to; for instance, a blue and yellow dust-wrapper on this Swedish book would seem to me just the thing. Even a miniature flag in one corner would catch the eye and incidentally teach the foreigner this country's patriotic symbol. But this is only a suggestion.

I sincerely hope that every traveler to Sweden has this charming "guide" book in his pocket, as it ought to prove extremely valuable to anybody who is seeing Sweden for the first time. So with Mr, Clark's own words I say, "Skal och lycklig resa." Frankly I envy anybody this trip.
