The Dartmouth chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the fourth oldest in the country, will celebrate its 150 th anniversary at Hanover on October 11. The special program for the day will include a public meeting in Webster Hall that afternoon at 3:30, with Alexis Carrel delivering the Phi Beta Kappa Address. The public meeting will be preceded by a gathering of members of the national scholastic fraternity in Dartmouth Hall, where those elected to
honorary, alumni and undergraduate membership will be initiated. In the evening there will be held in Thayer Hall a banquet at which President Hopkins will act as toastmaster and several distingiushed guests will speak.
All chapters of Phi Beta Kappa have been invited to send delegates to Hanover in honor of the anniversary. Dartmouth alumni members of the society will be welcome to attend the exercises.
