ON THEIR WAY TO TOPS DOWN UNDER Dick Durrance, Steve and Dave Bradley, and Jim Laughton (Harvard) en route for some skiing in New Zealand, pose in Hawaii with the famous Duke Kahanamoku. Dave Bradley was hurt in an auto accident in Australia and Durrance was also temporarily out of competition when he was injured in striking soft snow during a race. The American team went on to New Zealand where Durrance took first place in an international downhill race and adds this championship to his U. S. National and Intercollegiate titles. Ardent skiers can follow the snow to Australia where excellent conditions during what is summer on the North American continent vie with those found in the Andes of Chile.
