The annual fall meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Council was held at the University Club, Boston, on October 22, with Richard E. Pritchard '14, of New Britain, Conn., presiding. The following Councilors were present at the meetings: Warren C. Kendall '99, Luther S. Oakes '99, Clarence G. McDavitt '00, Leon B. Richardson '00, Louis E. Leverone '04, Edward K. Robinson '04, Charles G. Milham 'O6, Robert J. Holmes '09, Whitney H. Eastman '10, Dr. Thomas A. Foster '10, Harold P. Hinman '10, Warde Wilkins '13, Sigurd S. Larmon '14, Richard E. Pritchard '14, Fletcher R. Andrews '16, Sumner B. Emerson '17, Allan C. Gottschaldt '18, John W. Hubbell '2l, John E. Foster '23, Ford H. Whelden '25, Sidney C. Hawyard '26, Thomas B. Curtis '32.

A discussion of financial aid to students was led by Prof. Francis J. A. Neef, chairman of the Bureau of Personnel Research and of the committee on scholarships and loans, during the morning session. Reports of standing committees were given as follows: Harold P. Hinman '10 for the Nominating Committee; Richard E. Pritchard '14 for the Executive Committee; Sigurd S. Larmon '14 and Albert I. Dickerson 'go for the Alumni Fund Committee; and John W. Hubbell '21 for the Committee on Admissions and Schools. Clarence G. McDavitt '00 led a discussion on athletic affairs of the past year and Sidney C. Hayward '26 discussed the work of the Council on the gifts and endowment project in the absence of Mr. William J. Minsch '07, who is directing this work for the Council.

After luncheon the group was addressed by President Hopkins, who discussed several important problems that are now facing the College. Following the afternoon session the members of the Council and their families were entertained at a reception and tea at the University Club, given by members of the Council living in and around Boston.
