Class of 1888

The duties of our faithful secretary, Eleazar Cate, have fallen on a classmate this month, as Cate has been confined to the Newton Hospital' for two weeks. He is making the best of the situation by studying the psychology of doctors. At least he has found time to fulfil a cherished ambition to read "Gone With the Wind." But he recommends "We or They" to his friends who think.

Walker, who has retired from active newspaper work and lives in New London, Conn., advises old friends who have called on him to possess a wire-haired fox terrier if they would enjoy a dog. "Tobey" is his constant companion.

The surviving members of '88 are anxious to find out from Sam Nelson whether the sap flowed all winter in his maple tree orchard at Barton, Vt., or whether the trees "sat down" for a season, as they do when there is more snow.
