IN ACCORDANCE WITH custom, the Dartmouth College Club of Maine celebrated Dartmouth Night with a supper meeting at the Lafayette Hotel in Portland. This was the first meeting of the Club held since the large meeting in June at which time President Hopkins was present as a guest.
After considerable discussion the members of the Club voted to collect yearly dues of $1.00 per member. It was felt that such action was necessary in order to give the Club sufficient funds to enable it to do effective work in contacting prospective Dartmouth students and in maintaining a satisfactory relationship between undergraduates from Maine and the members of the Club.
The Club placed in nomination for member of the Alumni Council from New England, Dr. Thomas A. Foster '10.
A special committee was appointed to interview applicants for Dartmouth. Members of the Committee are: Paul Harmon '13, Chairman, Philip Deering '23, Charles Austin '30.
Greetings of the Club were sent to Rev. Omar W. Folsom of Bath, Maine, member of the class of 1869, and Dr. James A. Spaulding, member of the class of 1866.
Among those present were: Daniel Lakeman '98, Ernest White '05, Carl Getchell '05, John Tatterson '08, Verne West '09, Thomas Foster '10, Paul Harmon '13, Edward Robinson '13, Lawrence Day '13, Edgar Curtis '15, Frank Milliken '15, Robinson Height '18, Lawrence Eastman '19, John Hill '17, Parker Pooler '18, Roland C.
