We who are left are saddened by the passing of our loved Adams, an account of whose distinguished career may be read elsewhere in the MAGAZINE. The Secretary was able to attend the beautiful and appropriate funeral service in the new White Church in Hanover.
A letter from Chapin gives a change of address in Manhattan, Kansas, at 1018 Kearney St.
Other items this month concern the second and third generations. Rev. Wilfrid A. Rowell, son of our classmate, who is a pastor in Hinsdale, Ill., was chaplain of the General Council of Congregational and Christian Churches, which met in June at Beloit, Wis.
John Sewall's daughter Carolyn T., who has been for twenty-five years a missionary in China, was ordained to the ministry in Tientsin on May 15. And we note the marriage of Katharine Hartwell Austin, Sewall's granddaughter, to Lawton P. G. Peckham in St. Albans, Vt., on August 20. Mrs. Peckham is a Smith graduate of 1935.
