The class was represented at Commencement this year by Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Couch, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Weston, Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Lakeman, Mr. and Mrs. Craven Laycock, G. C. Richards, H. S. Richardson, and C. H. Richardson. Headquarters were maintained at the Hotel, and much enjoyment was had there and visiting the off-year class reunions.
Judge Louis S. Cox of the Massachusetts Supreme Court made quite an extended sojourn at Squam Lake, Holderness, N. H., this summer. Judge Cox was spending much of his time while there in looking up genealogical data of his family.
At the annual meeting of the trustees of Dow Academy, Franconia, N. H., Carl H. Richardson was again elected president of the board of trustees. Mr. Richardson has been a member of the board for 30 years.
The class will be interested to learn of the marriage of Thomas Johnson, son of Dr. H. L. Johnson, to Isabel J. Brown on June 11, 1938. The ceremony was performed by Bishop Dallas at Concord, N. H., and only members of the immediate families were present, including Mrs. Sarah H. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Brown.
During last Commencement week, B. W. Couch, C. A. Weston, and C. H. Richardson constituted themselves as a committee to locate the Class Tree. After consulting the College authorities and records, said tree was duly located and has now been properly marked with an iron grill marked " '96." At our next reunion it will be our duty and pleasure to rededicate this tree, which has grown to unexpected maturity during the intervening years. There have been two changes in addresses this summer. Thomas C. Ham is now manager of Students' Group, Jones & Loughlin Steel Corp., Pittsburgh, Pa., with a resident address 47 Oregon Ave., Crafton, Pa. Charles A. Jaquith is now located at Union Village, Vt., retired.
