THE DARTMOUTH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION of Quebec held its customary football festival at the LaSalle Hotel in Montreal, November 4, 1938. Dan Hatch '06 took over the reins of Acting Pres. in the absence of John Hinman '08 and was ably assisted in reminiscences of the "dark ages" by "Cut" Tirrell 'OO. We then proceeded to a discussion of the "middle ages" and were brought to the "New Dartmouth" by the McGill Medics. Twelve loyal stalwarts were present. Some of our more fortunate members had taken in the Brown, Harvard and Yale games and gave us most interesting accounts. With Cornell looming on the horizon as this is being written, the rest of us are trying to figure ways and means to seeing the Big Green in action at least once this season.
We are looking forward to the approach of winter and our sure .crop of snow and ice for which Montreal and the Laurentians are famous. Winter sports will soon be in the foreground and to us this means the friendly invasion of Dartmouth Ski and Hockey teams on Canadian soil.
