THE ALUMNI CLUB of Georgia had the pleasure of a visit from Bill McCarter on December 21st. This pleasure was trifold. First, we all were glad to see Bill. Secondly, he gave us some first-hand news of the College. Incidentally, this news was rather welcome, especially the status of Dartmouth on the "Bowl" games. And, thirdly, Bill made the presentation of the Dartmouth Cup, which our club presents yearly to the football winner of the Georgia Interscholastic Athletic Association.

This year the cup was won by Tech High of Atlanta. There are some very good players here in the south. One hears a lot about the low wage scales here in the south. Please don't misinterpret this for this low wage scale applies to industrial realms, not to educational. In other words none of these boys can be lured to New England.

The stag dinner was held the night of December 21st at the Capital City Club, with Hen Sturgess presiding in his inimitable fashion. Conviviality was running high as were other things not to mention in so dry a state. Meeting broke up at a reasonable hour, in spite of all the efforts of Hap Jones to make a night of it.
