On March 17 we were grieved to heal' of the death of Walter R. Whitcomb, "Josh" as we knew him. See Necrology for more detail. Josh will surely be missed at our 50th. His droll humor, his cautious but apt come-back were rated high among the joys of life at Hanover. Through the thoughtfulness of his sister, Mrs. Harry W. Randall of St. Johnsbury, we learned of his two months' sickness in the Claremont Hospital. Three days later Mr Randall wrote of his passing on March 15

Our reunion plans seem to be progressing satisfactorily. It now looks as if we hall have with us about 75% of the living graduates. Distance from Hanover and conditons of health seem to be the restraining influence on the other fourth of the class.
