Dartmouth College Publications has announced a forthcoming subscription edition of Richard Hovey's Dartmouth Lyrics to replace the original edition published some 13 years ago and long since out of print. Although the new volume will go to press on April 30, and the subscription period closes on that date, orders received during the first few days of May will be accepted. The book will sell for $1.75 a copy and may be ordered through Dartmouth College Publications, Parkhurst Hall, Hanover.

The revised edition of Dartmouth's "poet laureate" will contain not only the enduring songs from the earlier edition but also "The Spirit of Dartmouth" not previously included. Prof. Francis L. Childs 'O6 of the Department of English has written the introduction for the volume, and Ray Nash, lecturer in art and typographical adviser for the College, has designed the book throughout. As an official publication of the College, Dartmouth Lyrics, will be attractively designed and of the best materials and workmanship. It will be available only through subscription.

The original edition of Hovey's Dartmouth Lyrics has been difficult to obtain for a number of years. Through the generous interest of Edwin O. Grover '94, the College has recently come into possession of the copyright, making possible the publication of the new edition.
