Word comes that the two Ladd sons have excellent teaching positions—one in the Ojai School at Ojai, California and the other in the department of philosophy at the University of Virginia, Charlotteville, Virginia.

In June Bates College conferred the degree of Doctor of Letters upon our class president, E. T. S. Lord.

On June 28 Willis Orange Smith passed away in Peterborough, N. H. At the services in the church in Peterborough on June 28 there were present Allison, Cobb, O'Brien, Prichard, Rowe and D. L. Smith.

Sid Walker and Mrs. Walker sailed from Boston September 5 for Honolulu following a hurried trip to Boston to be with Mrs. Walker who was at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital—Mrs. Walker is much improved and both were looking forward to their return home.
