THE DARTMOUTH CLUB OF CLEVELAND IS now in full swing for the fall season. With the advent of cooler weather the golf clubs, tennis rackets, sail boats, etc. are gradually disappearing with the result that the attendance at our Saturday luncheons is becoming larger each week.
The gala event of the late spring season was a joint picnic with the Cornell Club. A large group of Dartmouth men turned out and, needless to say, all enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The feature event of the day was a baseball game between the two clubs with a large silver cup as the grand prize. This cup is now in the possession of Wally Mountcastle '22 who has been appointed custodian of all the trophies we hope to win in the future.
Several marriages have taken place during the summer. Henry Haserot 'lO returned two or three weeks ago from out Honolulu way and brought a wife with him. Two members of the class of '33 took the leap some time ago. So far Henry McKee has appeared at meetings but we haven't seen a thing of Chuck Wagner as yet.
We are all glad to welcome Fletcher Andrews 'l6 back to the city and to the club after a year in the East.
For the benefit of those alumni who might find themselves in Cleveland over a weekend, we are again meeting at the Mid Day Club on top of the Union Commerce Building. During the football season we plan to have direct wire reports of all the Ivy League games. Come up any Saturday noon. We will be glad to see you.
