Usually the annual picnic at "Musa" has furnished me an unusual opportunity to gather many notes of interest to the class, but this year the unexpected happened and it was impossible to hold the picnic. It seems that Vic Cutter realized in the late spring that he was running short on stories, so he betook himself to a Boston hospital and there for weeks listened to yarns as only doctors can tell them. Ear and head aches ensued so that actually Vic needed the entire summer to rid himself of the effects. The final results have been excellent and Vic now points to the 1903 picnic next August with enthusiasm. The 3,000 white pines which have been transplanted from his nursery are showing splendid growth, the wild flower garden is more. beautiful than ever, and the out-of-door fireplace still awaits your pleasure.
