EARNEST SMALL, very able Captain of the U. S. Navy, has been detached from his destroyer division, and made head of the department of Ordnance and Gunnery at Annapolis where he is actually one of the professors .... a few extracts from a recent letter, "The work is interesting and the surroundings are most pleasant. My new address is 15 Porter Row, U. S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md. I hope that any Tenners coming down this way will look me up. I am sure that the 30th Reunion was most successful. I wish that I could attend one but I have never had the breaks in that respect. I was detached at Pearl Harbor and spent the time, June 15-28, traveling to Washington, and so missed out again. With all best wishes to everyone."

BILL WOOLNER l'ates high in the envelope industry through his long and successful connection with Boston Envelope Cos....

Ralph Abercrombie has been doing a good job for Tilton, his old prep school, just as Dick Carpenter is busy with an anniversary celebration for Williston

For the Harvard Game Get-Together we'd suggest that the Committee make a Round-Up of the following Old Timers: Sam Woodsum, Holliston; Francis Morrissey, Melrose; Stan Howard, Milton; Max Stanton, Newton; Fat Lee, Danvers; Homer Mills, Somerville; Stafford Johnson, So. Boston; Ed Kenway, Boston; Ike Allen, Providence; and not too far off to pull in would be Harry Dore and Bob Rich from Portsmouth; Jimmie Frame, Canterbury; Ralph Noyes, Littleton; and from Connecticut, Jesse Lake, and Walter Douglas, Greenwich; Ralph Hedges, Bridgeport; Don Curtis, East Hampton; and if Sid Whipple came up from N. Y., he might show the local boys a thing or two.

THE HARVARD GAME GET-TOGETHER will be in charge of your Boston Executive Committeemen, Else Jenness, Gay Gleason and Hal Sprague (Brockton) Details to be announced later Anyone who passes up these annual affairs, misses a whole lot chucked into one evening, always a goodly number of Tenners, and hordes of other Dartmouth men of our time Save Friday evening, October 25'

NICKY BENTON, 1910's adopted son, wrote the Johnny Hobbs a grand letter of appreciation for his entertainment at our 30th Little Nicky made a big hit with our gang, and it seems that Nicky, in turn, was impressed by Hanover even though his dad, the well known Jay R. Benton, and his older brothers went to Harvard

. . . . however, Nicky goes back, and says that his uncle and his great uncle were Dartmouth men, so he's going to be one .... he states with emphasis, "Nothing in the world can prevent me from going to Dartmouth College. I think that if all those Harvard boys could have just one look at Dartmouth, they would set their hearts on a grand college, just as I have." Since Nicky signed and sealed it in green ink with a sketch showing Eleazar drinking a toast to the Hobbs family, there is a finality to his statements which one can believe. He is a grand, young lad, the kind anyone would like to have for a son .... we all can rejoice in having him in our class family.

First North St Howard Fogg is secretary of the Ogden Corporation, 1 Exchange Place, Jersey City with residence at Wildmere House, Lake Minnewaska, N. THIS FELLOW, FLETCH BURTON, looks like one of those methodical, persistent cusses who'll make you pay your class dues whether or not you want to Under Ralph Paine's tutelage he grasped the idea quickly, is getting well organized .... which facts you'll realize soon It looks as though the class treasury would be in continued good hands for another 5 years.

JESS HAWLEY has his moments of humor .... in a letter we received recently, he tells about visiting with a well-known Democratic delegate to the Convention "who had nothing to do at the moment except wait for instructions from Washington."

Of interest to everyone is Jess' statement that Jack Marks is located at The Ketchum Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is very well known and can be reached at that address. Jack would probably appreciate some letters from the old gang.

WHAT A MAN! An Airmail just in from Winsor Dornin Wilkinson who was born in Berkeley, California, May 30, 1887, and has lived there ever since, announces the arrival on August 20 of Albert Crayton, a 9 lbs., 4 ozs. son, of the class of 1962 at Dartmouth College. .. .at 75 "Wilk" will be coming back to Hanover to root enthusiastically for "Al" who'll undoubtedly be Dartmouth's star back from California in the early 60's. 1910's Congratulations to Wilk and Mrs. Wilk! REUNION COMMITTEE turned in a net profit of $36 to Treas. Burton "Easty" had a nice visit in Omaha this summer with Jim Drummond who had a serious breakdown last year. . . .after 27 years of teaching and coaching Jim has retired on pension and is much improved in health, even to the point of considering going to Nebraska, Minnesota, or Northwestern for a Master's Degree.... though distance and school duties have prevented Jim from attending class functions, he has kept himself intimately acquainted with College and class affairs. .. .we hope that he can show up one of these days for the whole gang would love to see him.
