THE LOCAL ASSOCIATION was treated to some rare moments on February 28 when Prof. Harold Tobin '17 of the Political Science department held forth at the Roger Smith Hotel on the general subject of how the College is keeping the undergraduates abreast of the social and economic legislation of current times. Following the professor's description of the College program in the way of new courses and additions to the faculty, the floor was thrown open to discussion. After fully two hours of arguments, suggestions, etc., a brief intermission was called, during which time refreshments were served and then the more interested took up the chase again. The wee, small hours saw the last of the group break up, thoroughly convinced that the surface of this timely topic had hardly been scratched. The voices of the following were heard during the course of the evening: Henry P. Blair '89, H. H. Hill '07, R. E. Marsh 'OB, Barry Sullivan '36, George Morris '11, Emerson Ross '27, Robert Kwis '39, Stirling Wilson '16, Robert Lyle '29, John Sullivan '21, and Stew Paul '106. In all, thirty-four men were present for a highly enjoyable evening, and we hope Prof. Tobin will join us again in the very near future.

Warm days during the past few weeks have given some of the boys bad ideas as to their athletic prowess. Rumblings have been heard about continuing the bitterly fought feud between the class of '33 and the rest of the association on the softball diamond. The score as carried over from last season stands as one apiece, so that anything can happen when the battle is renewed.

A most welcome guest at a recent luncheon was Bill Steck '31, fresh in from Cleveland. Following the meal Bill hastily caught a departing train, but don't let this scare any of the rest of you who may be in town as of a Tuesday (Annapolis Hotel, 12:30 p.m.). Familiar faces seen at recent luncheons include, George Mondell '33, Harrison Libbey '35, Paul Walter '25, and Ralph Britton '17.
