The Secretary read in a Canadian paper that Mayor A. S. Worthen, Dartmouth 1898, was returned for the fourteenth consecutive term as Mayor of Zealandia.

"Tute" also shows an interest in the schools and Boy Scouts, for the same paper mentions an interesting lecture on astronomy given by our classmate to a school gathering and also to the Boy Scouts.

Ev Snow and Ruth went from Victoria to Portland, Oregon, to spend Christmas with their married daughter Margaret. While there a telephone call was announced from far off Newtonville, Massachusetts, and daughter Elizabeth joined the Christmas party with a message of Christmas cheer.

February is usually a lean month for class news; fortunately we have in '98 one member, in "Ted" Leggett who is constantly in .touch with the Class and who has very kindly sent to me the items below. May his tribe increase.

Fred Bennis is at his old stamping ground at Laguna Beach, California, having proceeded from Maine by the most southerly route, thus avoiding all complications of snow and heavy rains, both of which were quite prevalent during his trip.

A line from Albert Smith reported that Pete Adams and his wife passed through Chicago, thus affording these two members of our class an opportunity for a reunion. Albert didn't say in what direction Pete was travelling,—whether on the way East or going back home. I haven't heard or seen hide or hair of him during his eastern trip.

Mushy Jones is spending the winter in Rochester for the first time in many moons.

Ernest Seelman and I exchanged Christmas greetings by telephone. He told me that he was having a family party of twenty-three at his house on Christmas Day, it being their custom to always have a turkey and a goose for the occasion. It took more than a 20-lb. turkey for that end of the party. The size of the goose was not mentioned. Ernest's father was present,—93 years old and hale and hearty!

Joe Bartlett on January 7th was reappointed by Governor Saltonstall as a trustee of The Massachusetts State College at Amherst, Mass.
