Our retiring president Horace Pender received a vote of thanks for the fine work he did in organizing the Club on the Island. Our winter program is a smoker for some time in March, and a beef steak dinner to be organized some time in the spring. Any of these tentative plans may be changed, and we would welcome any suggestions from the Long Island Alumni.
The army has taken several of our younger members, Bill and Jack Coulson of the class of 1940 are now in uniform, and several others are going soon.
In order to bring the Long Island Alumni closer together, President Collins would again have it known that the Club is a dues-less one, which meets, or has functions occasionally, to bring the alumni together. We are always glad to have any alumnus drop in on us, whether he lives on Long Island, or is just visiting down this way.
