Not all of our Class have replied to my recent letter of inquiry as to their present health and occupation and as our numbers have been sadly depleted within the last few years, our sources of information grow correspondingly narrow year by year.

We are, however, glad to be rescued from a disagreeable situation by the receipt of a nice letter from George M. Davidson of Chicago, long ago on the retired list, who unfortunately has been forced to forego for this year his favorite pastime of motoring around the Country due to a major operation for appendicitis he suffered last summer and from which, happily, he is now almost entirely recovered but it has compelled him to confine his activities to short auto trips to interesting places located in his vicinity and attending periodical meetings of Scientific and Technical Societies in Chicago of which he is a member.

His health is good but he does not intend to leave home for any extended period at present and his usual winter trip to Florida is postponed for another year. Here's hoping for his complete recovery and a line soon from the rest of us.
