IT HAS BEEN a tough year to select a weekend suitable for our Association's annual winter sports trek. We frankly admit the rumor as fact—RAlN! Washington's Birthday proved to be no exception in the lowlands, but it was different in the High Sierra. Three carloads of Dartmouth drew up at the Guy Wallick '21 cabin at Pinecrest for two days of that which makes successful get togethers.

Bob Archibald '3B ably assisted by "Nase" Young 'l7 had collected and balanced the necessary vitamins only to be unbalanced by the thoughtful extras such as the delectable fried mush from the Leaven's 'Ol household (Echo Lake style—Oh, Boy!); the stacks of Cora Taylor (Ray '11) cup cakes; and, as usual, the old reliable pot of Wallick chili hanging on the crane in the fireplace.

After two nights with Maitre D'Hotel Mort Crowell '29 sleeping in the living room and Nase in the Butler's pantry, Bob Leavens from high in the attic reported that they "Z"ounded like—Two Ferry Boats on San Francisco Bay in a Dense Fog.

The Ski Team was something to be proud of, Capt. Archibald, Charlie Schaaf '37, Larry Symmes '3B, Bill Evans '33, and Dave Smith '35 took everything in high-Abe Winslow '2O was on skis (part of the time). The two boys, Alan Winslow and Philip Wallick were as pesty as ever.

We cannot close without just one more observation. Saturday evening, late, we looked across the table at Charlie Schaafsuch a resemblance o£ Bob Morris '36 who was at the same table two years ago—many changes of hats could make no differenceevery hand a dud.
