Value of Plant Rose Sharply in the '20s
This graph shows the increase of Dartmouth's buildings and equipment over the quartercentury of President Hopkins' administration thus far. Valued at $1,778,119 in 1915,physical plant reached a total of $7,533, 722 in 1940. Sharp rise in the late twenties is duelargely to construction of Baker Memorial Library.
