Your Secretary is indebted to Don Coyle for a copy of "Finance," Aug. tenth number, in which there is a fine article on Claude Jagger, general financial editor of "The Associated Press." Claude "sits at the very hub of the world's largest news association which pours out hundreds of thousands of words daily over a 285,000 mile leased wire network by cable and radio to 1,400 newspapers in the U. S. and 600 more abroad The task, as he sees it, is to present the happenings of the day so the man in the street will know what it means in terms of his job, his business and the economic welfare of himself and his family." Claude lives with his wife and two children in Darien, Conn. He is an enthusiastic gardener and enjoys swimming and rambling through the woods with his children. The article is well worth reading.
Again my plea for news to me and prompt payment of class dues to George Traver.
