THANKS TO THE FALL SEASON, the Luncheon Club is showing signs of life and welcome to many new and old faces. What with the press of the "home front" and the absence of so many men in the more active theaters, it is good to be able to pull up to the board in the occasional fellow- ship of Carl White '23, Tower Snow '3l, Dick Mather '27, Hod Taylor '23, Herb Darling '26, Paul Venneman '26, Connie Kurtz '25, Dick Burlingame '26, Byron Mc- Coy '33 and others.
Officially, the Club is now looking for- ward to the visit of any fortunate enough to be here for the Dartmouth-Cornell game November 14th. Plans are under way for an Alumni Luncheon to be held On Friday the 13th to entertain the visiting coaches and Bill McCarter, Director of Athletics. We are, at present, working with a com- mittee of Cornell men in the hope that a joint dinner dance may be held on either Friday or Saturday night. We are also hav- ing a block of fine seats available, for Alumni and their guests, which can be had from Hugh Johnson, Rand Building, most any time up to the first whistle. Requests for information relative to any other events can be directed to this source.
It is difficult to note here the unhappy shock of the announcement of the sudden death of Frank S. Hershey '25, Vice Presi- dent of our Association. Many friends and members of the Association extend their sympathy to his family.
Again, we give a most cordial invitation to all who may be visiting in Buffalo over the week-end of the 14th and hope to be seeing you then.
