ON THE 23RD OF DECEMBER we had planned to hold our Annual Christmas Luncheon. Usually, some 20 regulars are in attendance, plus four or five prospective freshmen, plus some five undergraduates, but something went wrong a total of 56 showed up for lunch. Many sat around and waited for, the second shift, while war talk ensued. On the whole, in spite of the waiting period, both luncheon and discussion could only be described as highly successful.

Some 16 prospective freshmen were in attendance, who appeared to be representative of the tradition of this district for the College. In addition, of course, we were more than glad to ascertain the undergraduate opinion concerning the international situation, this being portrayed by the Hanover members in attendance.

An attempt is being made to compile a list of Dartmouth men who are serving in the armed forces in this district, so that we may maintain contact with them. Anyone reading this article who is not on our mailing list should drop me a line at 1237 N. Howard Street, or else join us for lunch on Tuesdays at the Dartmouth-Yale Club, Bth Floor, University Club Building, 16th and Locust Streets, at 12:30.
